  Dog Attack in San Francisco

Recently three people in San Francisco were attacked by dogs - a Pitbull and a mix Shepherd breed, in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. The dogs tore apart the clothes of one of the three victims and injured the other two. The dogs were in the park without any owner(s) nearby. The attack was quite fierce; police took both dogs in custody. No one came forward to claim the dogs. In fact, the dogs were considered such a threat to other people's safety that they were euthanized.

It is not uncommon for a dog attack to happen anywhere. If you or someone you know has been attacked by a dog, immediately seek medical attention and get proper treatment for your wounds. Next protect your rights by consulting a personal injury attorney who specializes in dog attack cases. Even if you were not seriously injured, consider taking action against the dog's owner for two reasons; first, the owner needs to be aware of their dog's vicious or aggressive nature. Second, by acting now, you could be saving someone else, most likely a child, from serious injury or even death because it is most common for the aggressiveness in dogs to escalate (not diminish) as time goes on.

Also remember that when you are attacked by a dog, you need to collect as much proof as you can reasonable get. So get the identification of the dog's owner, the dog's name and the type of breed. Get names of witnesses. Take pictures of your injuries, of the dog(s) and of the area where it happened. Keep copies of bills and receipts for your medical care and for prescriptions.

Call San Francisco Personal injury lawyer Nelson C. Barry III who is a specialist in dog attack cases. Let him put his 31 years of experience to work for you to help you get the compensation you deserve for the pains and wounds you have suffered as well as the losses you have to borne such as medical expenses and lost income.

Nelson Barry has a 100% win record in dog attack cases. All of his clients who were attacked by dogs received the full compensation. For his reviews see the client testimonials page.

Make sure the dog bite attorney you select is experienced enough to get you the justice you deserve. It is the dog owner's responsibility to keep their dogs under control and if they do not, then it is their legal obligation to pay compensation to those that are the victims of their dog's viciousness. Not surprisingly, virtually all dog experts agree that the dog's aggressiveness is the fault of the owner, not the dog, because of how the dog was raised or treated. So it is only fair that the owner be held accountable.
